Pilipinas con’t.
October 24, 2008
Here are more pictures at our time in Abra..Philippines…. forreal though, Behind all these pretty pictures…a life of struggle is rooted underneath. for years people all over the philippines, especially in Abra, the Cordilera people continue to fight for their land, their home. Big Mining companies from first world countries, like Canada, Europe and America come to the Philippines for her rich resources. Big companies, like “Olympic Mining” from canada take over neighborhood communities,as they continue to exploit the people, destroy their homes, pollute the rivers, and ruin their crops, for big scale mining. its hella hard for me to explain the struggle of the Cordillera People in a small paragraph.hella history, hella love, hella struggle i havnt even reached.more powerful than any photo…so peep the Cordillera people’s alliance website.

Breaking Out
October 22, 2008
This is the new piece still untitled but thinking ‘Breaking Out’.
This was inspired by Paulie Rhyme’s description of his fresh new start.
And i connected with the concept, since I too broke off the corporate chains.
Paulie Rhyme is that hiphop artist you need to be listening to.
check him out at http://www.myspace.com/paulierhyme
and be sure to hit up one of his shows when he gets to your city!
I’ve been cranking out a bunch of new paintings but this one is by far my favorite new piece. This may be a part of my new series, continued from the Off the Mark gallery series, and while the new pieces are kept secret, this one i had to show the public. That means i’m gonna have to up the ante to top this painting.
Let me know what you think.

My trip to the Philippines. some crazy assshit. filled with gangsta ass jipney drivers, giant malls, fresh coconut, fresh people, love, cigarette air, river breezes, jep rocks, hustlin, bustlin and livin for the people.
Most things i can’t even explain….without you actually feelin it….but honestly, photo’s do tell a thousand words. forreally.
We will begin in Baguio City Philippines, on our 4hour journey, up the mountain, in the back of a yellow bus/truck with tomorrows dinner…a died up chicken. [Abra Philippines, Cordillera's]
LAND IS LIFE. [Masablign Abra]
[cutie girlys in Sacao Abra]
[Domenglay Abra....Farmer Manong Perfecto, protecting his crops from wild boars]

‘Tied Down to Your Hometown’
October 16, 2008
This painting goes to the saying, you never really leave your hometown.
Searching for that high, fullfilled success [balloon] and in the company of three others, on their own search for fullfillment,
i’m constantly away from from my strong and stable rooted family in Vallejo [trees]
there will always be a link [string] that’ll always guide me back home to the relationship and commitment [knot] to my family and city.
I hope some of you can relate.
